Tourism and Hospitality is such a large and diverse industry and I have had the priviledge to work in many areas including pubs, taverns, cocktail bars, numerous restaurants, large 5 star rated hotels, private functions and weddings, international events and in a variety of countries.
Positions held include Restaurant Manager, Sales Co-ordinator, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Travel Consultant, Human Resource Co-ordinator, Butler, Office Manager, IT consultant to name a few. Working in the UK, I have served a diverse range of aristocrates and world leaders. Although still strongly linked with industry, I continue to teach and research in hospitality related areas with a passion for ethnic restaurants, wine knowledge and Bhutanese studies. I am currently enrolled in a PhD researching wine event stakeholders and perceptions of social media.
