This policy brief examines the rise of digital labour platforms and their potential to expand employment opportunities in developing countries such as Vietnam. It highlights how online work can offer flexibility and global reach but notes the need for government support and international collaboration. Given Vietnam’s growing role as a supplier of digital labour and Australia’s position as a demand centre, the brief explores how cooperation under their new Comprehensive Strategic Partnership can advance digital transformation and offers recommendations to help Vietnam strengthen its readiness for online work.
