This edition features articles by Australia’s emerging leaders in foreign, defence and strategic policy. It is a showcase of the issues that they consider most pressing in the Indo-Pacific and potential solutions for addressing these challenges. As you will see, they are interested in a diverse range of areas, ranging from the high politics of great power competition, conflict and trade to ‘unconventional’ security challenges presented by climate change, the pandemic, and maritime crime. I would like to sincerely thank our contributors for offering their views on how policy-makers, communities and individuals can grapple with the wider problems facing the Indo-Pacific.
