The RISE (Recent Diagnosis and the Impact of Support on the Experiences of HIV) study was funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Partnership Grant (APP1134433), with partnership funding from state and territory health departments, and in-kind support from peer-based HIV organisations. The study aimed to explore experiences of HIV seroconversion, diagnosis, and HIV clinical care, as well as to investigate the impact of HIV support services on people’s overall well-being, and linkage to – and retention in – HIV care.

Funding

The RISE Study is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and the health departments of the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia; and received in-kind support from community HIV organisations.
