The people we interviewed for this project described positive experiences of DAA treatment. The ease and simplicity of DAA treatment, along with the high success rates, were highly valued by participants and central to their treatment experiences. While many participants recounted positive interactions with health professionals, some described wanting more information about hepatitis C itself, treatments and potential health issues that might occur in the future after cure. Overall, descriptions of being cured indicate that treatment was generally a positive experience, connected to improved health and wellbeing and feelings of optimism about the future.
