“In the following report, we summarise the views of our interviewees across a range of topics relating to hosting MPFEs. While endlessly optimistic and creative, they highlight long-term concerns that make MPFEs a growing challenge, in some cases incentivising them to shift away from mass participation strategies and pursue alternative revenue sources. While entirely understandable, the wider implications of this are troubling and merit urgent consideration of the wide-ranging benefits of MPFEs and how they can be better supported.”
