MDFRC item.

This individual report is Working Paper no. 6 in Volume 3B working papers of the GHD report for Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW/VICROADS - Albury Wodonga Potential national highway routes: Environmental impact statement/ Environment effects statement.

During the period 21-24 June, 1994, three floodplain sites were examined by walking the proposed corridors of both the external and internal route options and by sampling aquatic areas where necessary. The sites were the crossing of Wodonga Creek and the River Murray on the internal route, the crossing of the Murray floodplain by the external route, and the crossing of Bowna Creek to the north of Albury. Additional biological information was obtained from records of past surveys by The Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre, as part of its biological monitoring program. Photographic records of the sites were also made to show habitat types (Plates 1 - 9).
