Series: Monograph series (La Trobe University. Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society) ; no. 82

Health service providers in Far North Queensland have identified chronic hepatitis B having an increasing impact on primary health services in the Torres Strait. This perspective is supported by data showing the region having the highest per capita notifications of chronic hepatitis B in Queensland, and other research showing a disproportionate impact of chronic hepatitis B on Indigenous people, particularly in remote communities.
