There is a growing need to involve the public more in genomics research. High-profile genomics research initiatives have made public
statements about the importance of involving people, yet there has been no review of how people are being involved in human genomic research. This study reviewed the public-domain websites of 96 genomics initiatives affiliated with Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) to document the frequency, method, tasks and self-reported outcomes of involving people in genomics research.
