Understanding and analysis of proteomic data

In almost all living cells, proteins play a central role in majority of cellular functions and their alterations can lead to disease. Proteomics using mass-spectrometry is one of the –omics disciplines routinely utilized to identify, characterize and quantify proteins in complex biological systems. This workshop will provide an overview of basics terminologies used in proteomics, different types of datasets, along with its biomedical application. The later part will focus on the statistical analysis and visualization quantitative proteomics datasets using R.
