The lyrical language and rhythmic patterns of poetry provide so many learning experiences -- opportunities for reading out loud, for memorization and choral speaking, as well as for independent reading and writing. Whether you are a parent, a classroom teacher or a librarian, poetry can enrich your book experiences with kids.
