Summary: This chapter, from an occupational ergonomics perspective, explores the relationship between meaningful work and health, wellbeing and job performance, and how spirituality in its varied expressions may be used to enrich the experience of contemporary workplaces. It addresses the questions of, “What is spirituality in the workplace?”; Why is consideration of spirituality important to workplace design and culture?”; and “How can ergonomists integrate spirituality into contemporary workplace practices?”
