The history of the portrayal of women within the video game world has created a seperation across genders. However due to an alteration in the numbers women now partaking in video games, and the variation of types of games undertaken by women there is a breakdown of stereotypes occuring in relation to this world. It is the women who are an underrepresented part of this world that are crucial to creating a difference.
