Summary: In this chapter we explore what we mean by spirituality and religion and the background to these changing expectations in social work related to our experiences as social work educators and practitioners in Australia and Canada respectively. We then each explore a specific framework we have used for integrating spirituality into social work training for practice. Finally, we use these frameworks and related experiences to suggest how spirituality can be further embedded in social work training and practice.
