<p dir="ltr">Abstract:</p><p dir="ltr">Much attention was devoted to the Internet of things (IoT) technology from the sectors of industry, academic, and financial. However, even though IoT is full maturity and developed very fast, the centralized IoT system is still suffering from a potential privacy leakage of sensitive information and a single point of failure. This is due to the fact that most existing IoT platforms are highly centralized architectures, and the centralized servers can access the plain text data from the IoT devices. Therefore, we present the potential of integration of Blockchain based-IoT with the attribute-based encryption technique to secure the IoT data, and to grantee the privacy and the integrity of sensing data in a decentralized setting. Our main aim from this integration is to provide the standard characteristics of general IoT systems of real-time monitoring and managing the devices while at the same time, ensure that the security requirements are probably employed. The business logic of this approach is defined by the smart contracts, which contain rules and conditions, and the attribute-based encryption (ABE) technique.</p>
