The study compared blood pressure, pulse rate, and self-report measures of stress and wellbeing in staff and students who came to our laboratory on two visits. During one visit, they had a 20 minute interaction with a puppy and the puppy's handler, and on another visit they interacted with the handler alone. Data were collected twice on each visit, before and after the interaction.
