Perceived Social Support, Caregiving Appraisal and Quality of Life among Caregivers of Individuals with Parkinson Disease

The caregivers' QOL, support, and caregiving appraisal is essential to ensure the quality of life to the Individuals with Parkinson's disease (IWPD). Hundred three caregivers of IWPD involve in this study. The caregivers' QOL was significantly associated with the caregivers’s comorbidities, duration of caregiving, living arrangement, the IWPD's gender and comorbidities, and found significant correlate with the caregiving appraisal. The importance of identifying the risk factors, education needs, and caregiving appraisal in developing intervention program to improve their QOL among caregivers.
