Yolmo: Art of Basket Weaving

This is a translated work. 

Basket weaving is practiced by the Yolmo of the Lamjung district. Bi Jingying created this book for a student project at NTU in 2014 using images and recordings of Dali Maya Lama talking about and making baskets. We decided to leave the text exactly how Dali Maya spoke, allowing the images to explain in more detail. This makes the text useful for Yolmo people learning to read their own language.

Jingying was a math student, and this was her first professional scale painting project. She wanted to complete a project that allowed her to learn about another culture while creating a useful product.
