Snapshot

This publication accompanied the exhibition, Snapshot Contemporary Photography, from the La Trobe University Art Collection a group exhibition including Brook Andrew, Pat Brassington, Mike Brown, Destiny Deacon, Marian Drew, Fiona Foley, Siri Hayes, Bill Henson, Petrina Hicks, Leah King-Smith, Deborah Paauwe, Michael Riley, Julie Rrap, Matthew Sleeth, Naomie Sunner, Anne Zahalka, at La Trobe University Art Museum, Melbourne, 21 April to 11 June 2010. Curated by Hannah Elliot. This exhibition largely comprises the photographic works added to the La Trobe Art Collection from 2003 to 2009. This exhibtion celebrates both the collection and the breadth of contemporary photographic practice in Australia. The publication includes an introduction by Vincent Alessi, and individual commentary and artist biographies for each work, a catalogue of works and 16 illustrations (16 colour).
