Plenty

This publication accompanied the exhibition Plenty a solo exhibition by Melbourne based artist Tim Handfield at La Trobe University Museum 8 July to 30 August 2013 and La Trobe Art Institute, Bendigo, 26 February to 20 April 2014. Curated by Anita La Pietra. This exhibition included a series of photographs taken between 2010 and 2011 of the inner and outer suburban areas of Melbourne. The works explore the nature of urban life, the ever expanding boundaries of Greater Melbourne and the tensions between wants and excess on a finite land. The publication includes an introduction by Vincent Alessi, essays by Anita La Pietra and Trevor Hogan, a catalogue of works and 44 illustrations (colour).
