The exhibition was curated by Travis Curtin.

The exhibition explored mortality as a state of transition and presented processes of art making as a means of facing death. Paintings, sculptures, installations and sound works by 11 contemporary artists invited audiences to reckon with death and dying as an inherent part of life. The artists invoked experiences of loss, impermanence, transience, remembrance, memorialisation and their own expressions of grief.

The publication includes a foreword by Bala Starr, essays by Travis Curtin, Mabel Juli, Pedro Wonaeamirri and Wukun Wanambi, an interview with Mabel Juli by Dominic Kavanagh and a conversation between Yinimala Gumana and Kade McDonald.
