This publication accompanied the exhibition, My Country: Abstract Interpretations of the Australian Landscape, a group exhibition including Mac Betts, David Blackburn, Mike Brown, Lawrence Daws, Elizabeth Gower, Mandy Gunn, Frank Hodgkinson, Judy Holding, George Johnson, Colin Lanceley, Bek Mifsud, Patrick Mung Mung, Michael Tjangala Mutji, Gloria Tamerre Petyarre, Charles Reddington, Mark Schaller, Helicopter Joe Tjungurrayi, Turkey Tolson Tjupurrul, John Waller, Frank Werther, Fred Williams, at Ateneo Art Gallery, Manila, Philippines, 13 June 2007 to 20 July 2007. The works included a collection of paintings, print and mixed media works of the Australian landscape. This exhibition explores abstraction and artistic interpretations of the landscape, how each artist uses their personal methods and style to recreate individual yet easily recognisable images of Australia. The publication includes an essay by Vincent Alessi, a catalogue of works and 6 illustrations (colour).
