Lord of the canopy

This publication accompanied the exhibition, Lord of the Canopy, a solo exhibition by Melbourne based artist Juan Ford at La Trobe Art Institute, Bendigo, 19 May to 24 June 2012, Mildura Arts Centre, Mildura, 30 August to 7 October and McClelland Sculpture Park ang gallery, Langwarrin 16 February to 27 April. Curated by Vincent Alessi. This exhibition was a large scale immersive installation containing a large tree and anamorphic painting works. This exhibition sought to extend on the artists ongoing investigations into the tension between natural and manmade environments, alongside the historical context of painting within contemporary practice. The publication includes an essay by Vincent Alessi, artist curriculum vitae, and 16 illustrations (colour).
