This publication accompanied Formed, a collection exhibition at La Trobe University Museum of Art, Melbourne, 22 October to 28 November 2010. Curated by Alana O'Brien. This exhibition comprised selected works from the extensive private collection of ceramics belonging to the late Etta Hirsch gifted to the La Trobe Art Collection by Anouk and Vaughan Hulme and her husband Emmanuel Hirsch. The works included both decorative and functional pieces largely by Australian potters. This exhibition celebrated both Etta Hirsch as an art collector and the act of gifting the collection to the university. The publication includes an introduction by Vincent Alessi, essays by Milton Moon, Alana O'Brien, and Anna Maas, an illustrated catalogue of works, a glossary of terms and 81 illustrations (colour).
