Ash Keating. Response paintings

This publication accompanied the exhibition Response Paintings, a solo exhibition by Melbourne based artist Ash Keating at La Trobe Art Institute, Bendigo, 2 June to 17 July 2016. The exhibition was curated by Michael Brennan. The works included are a series of large scale framed paintings and video documentation of a site specific work, created on a factory wall in a Melbourne industrial park. The paintings are large-scale, abstract works applied with a fire hydrant to reference the tension between the natural environment and industrialisation. The publication includes an introduction by Michael Brennan, a catalogue of works and 35 illustrations (colour).
